Kathmandu, Dec 6: Newly elected Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairperson Rajendra Lingden has assumed office today. Party leaders and cadres welcomed him amid a function at the party office in Dhumrabarahi in Kathmandu.
On the occasion, stating that the party's policy is to reinstate the constitutional monarchy and unite the country through Hindu state and diversity, he asked party cadres to act accordingly.
Claiming that the party had lost the past elections due to the failure of the erstwhile party leadership to have its clear stance on the implementation of party agendas, the new party Chair pledged to establish the RPP as an alternative force in the next elections in line with the aspirations of the recently held party convention by learning from the past.
He also committed to running the party in accordance with its rules and regulations in coordination with other party leaders.
