The CPN (Unified Socialist) has urged party unification with any political party or group having the same ideology. There is a need to form a strong alternative force in the country through the unity of a genuine communist, it reasoned.

Impact of offseason rains: rice production down by 8.74 %  

Rice production in the current fiscal has significantly shrunk and the fall is the lowest in the past five years.     According to the statistics unveiled by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development on Sunday, this year the rice production went down by 8.74 percent compared to the production of the last fiscal year (2020-21).    

Schools closed in Humla due to cold   

The community and private schools in Humla district have closed for the winter vacation with the increase in cold.     The mountainous district Humla in the Karnali province has seven local levels. Schools in the district are closed for two months Poush and Magh (mid-December to mid-February).

A meeting of the top leaders of ruling alliance is taking place in the Prime Minister's official residence at the coordination of Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba. 

29 leaders elected CC members in CPN (Maoist Centre) from Karnali  

The party's General Convention completed on Sunday, elected leaders in the CC from nine districts out of 10 of the province. Jajarkot district made the highest number of CC members while no one is elected from Mugu. From Dolpa, Kali Chalaune is the single leader representing the Maoist Centre party as the CC member.
