Abiral defeats Japanese rival in International Kickboxing Competition   

Abiral Ghimire of Nepal has emerged victorious in the International Kickboxing Competition held in Japan on Sunday.     Ghimire aka 'Himali Chituwa (Snow Leopard)' fought against his 28-year-old Japanese rival in the first round of the competition. 

72 wards in Baitadi sans secretaries 

Seventy-two local level wards, out of 84, in Baitadi are running without secretaries. The situation has hampered the service delivery at most of the local levels, locals said. Baitadi lies in the Far-West Province.

The fifth international conference on nutrition has kicked off in the capital today.     The four-day international conference is being organized for the first time in Nepal in the South Asia.    

Four persons embezzling cooperative money remanded in custody  

The District Court has remanded four persons of Nepalgunj-based Cooperative Financial Development Organization Limited in custody for allegedly embezzling Rs 430 million.     A single bench of District Court Banke justice Dhaniswor Poudel on Sunday issued an order to send cooperative's chief manager Gopal Bhandari, assistant chief manager Gangadhar Subedi, banking manager Arun Kumar Pathak and sub-assistant Balaram Yadav to custody.  

Coordinators picked in wards for justice dispensation  

The Waling municipality has initiated a process for designating coordinators in its wards to deliver justice in a more convenience manner.      Kalpana Tiwari, deputy mayor and coordinator of judiciary committee, said the committee has designated ward coordinators to further ease the justice dispensation process.

Nepal-UAE JWC meeting kicks off in Kathmandu  

The first meeting of the labour-related joint working committee (JWC) of Nepal and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) began in Kathmandu today.     Representatives from the both countries are taking part in the two-day meeting which aims to facilitate a process for the enforcement of the bilateral MoU on labour agreement signed between Nepal and UAE on June 14 this year.
