Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Bhanubhakta Dhakal has reiterated the government's commitment to increase the access of the poor citizens, marginalized sections and backward communities to justice.    

PSC submits annual report to President   

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has submitted its 60th annual report to President Bidya Devi Bhandari.     PSC Chair Umesh Prasad Mainali presented the report of fiscal year 2075-76 BS (2018-19) to the Head-of-the-State amidst a programme today at the Rastrapati Bhawan, Shital Niwas.

Sukute road mishap; still five injured under treatment  

Five among the injured of the bus accident that occurred at Chautara Sangachokgadhi municipality-9, Sukute on Sunday are still undergoing treatment at hospitals.      As many as 49 passengers among the injured had received treatment at Dhulikhel and Banepa. Four out of 47 injured who were undergoing treatment at community hospital in Dhulikhel were sent to Kathmandu for further treatment on Sunday while 41 of them had returned home following treatment, police informed.

Falebas-Armadi section of Kaligandaki corridor in limbo 

The construction of Falebas-Armadi road section along the Kaligandaki Corridor – which is considered a lifeline of the district has been in limbo since long.     If things went as planned, the track of the road should have been opened two years ago. With this, the task of blacktopping is also likely to get prolonged.

NAC to operate flights to Guangzhou from mid-December

Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is all set to operate flights to Guangzhou of China from the third week of December.     It is almost certain that the national flag-carrier will get permission to operate flight to Guangzhou after long efforts, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation stated.

Devi Prasad (DP) Dhakal has been selected to contest from the Bhaktapur constituency no 1 (Ka) for the post of province assembly member from Nepal Communist Party (NCP) for the by-election to be held on November 30 this year.

Women Minister Thapa assures of acting against GBV   

Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Thamamaya Thapa has assured of giving attention to the effective implementation of laws against gender-based violence (GBV).     Speaking today at a press meet in Biratnagar, the minister said the government had celebrated the 16th Jeth, 2076 BS (May 30, 2019) as the National Women Rights Day and the 'GBV-free nation campaign' is going on at the federal, state and local level governments.
