Significant improvement in PM Oli's health 

Significant improvement has been seen in Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's health.     The Prime Minister is recuperating at the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre at Maharajgunj after undergoing surgery for appendicitis and lately an eighth dialysis on Sunday. 

I will not let people's optimism go down-Bhattarai 

Newly-elected member of the House of Representatives, Bidhya Bhattarai said she would not let down people's hope and optimism.     While receiving the certificate of victory after being elected to the Member of Parliament from Kaski constituency-2, Bhattarai said she would spend her remaining life in the service of people who trusted her with votes to ensure her win.    

CPN candidate Wali wins from Dang constituency-3 (B) 

Nepal Communist Party (NCP) candidate Bimala Kumari Khatry Wali has won by-election for state assembly member from Dang constituency-3 (B).     She got elected to the member of state assembly by defeating Nepali Congress candidate Keshab Raj Sharma Acharya. She emerged victorious with 5,104 vote margin.   

Shahi wins in Baglung constituency 2 (B)   

Rastriya Janamorcha candidate Khim Bikram Shahi emerged victorious in the election to the member of state assembly for Baglung constituency 2 (B).     Shahi, who received support from ruling Nepal Communist Party, defeated Jeet Sherchan of Nepali Congress with a vote margin of 2,097.  

No law to allow general amnesty: Chairperson Dahal

Chairperson of Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', has expressed commitment that laws to be formulated on transitional justice would not allow general amnesty relating to the conflict era cases. Chairperson Dahal said it during a programme organized at party central office, Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu, today.

Death toll with mound collapse reaches five

The number of people who lost their lives after being buried by a mound has reached five here.     The incident took place in course of road construction at Mauja Bisauna of Pokhara Metropolitan City-20 this morning.  

NC candidate Bhandel wins SA by-poll from Bhaktapur 1(a)   

Nepali Congress candidate Krishnalal Bhandel has won the by-election for the State Assembly (SA) Member from Bhaktapur constituency 1(a). He garnered a total of 13,449 votes to beat his nearest competitor DP Dhakal of Communist Party of Nepal who finished the race with 11,206 votes in his name.   

Vote count yet to begin at Kharpunath Rural Municipality 

Kharpunath Rural Municipality is still waiting for vote count. The vote count for the by-election held Saturday for vice-chairperson of the Rural Municipality was said to begin from 8:00 am, but it was stalled after the dispute over vote counting process.   

RJP Nepal elected at Chhinnamasta rural municipality-7  

Rastriya Janata Party (RJP) Nepal has been elected at Ward No 7 of Chhinnamasta rural municipality in the district. Pramila Devi Yadav of the RJP Nepal candidate secured 540 votes and became Ward Chairperson, said Chief Returning Officer, Chandramani Gyawali.

Three people have died and some more are suspected buried after a mound of earth collapsed in course of road construction at 8.45 this morning. Th incident took place at Mauja Bisauna of Pokhara Metropolitan City-20.
