SAG: 15 games scheduled for today 

Competition is taking place in 15 different games in Kathmandu and Pokhara under the 13th South Asian Games today.          According to the schedule, competition is taking place in different games, including volleyball, football, cricket, athletics, badminton, cycling, gulf, karate, khokho, shooting, table tennis, taekwondo, triathlon and wusu.    

Price of petrol, diesel hiked

As per the new adjusted price list, petrol will be sold for Rs 109 per liter and diesel for Rs 97.

“No need to get worried abt budget crunch”

The Chief Minister assured that the projects construction would not be stalled due to budget deficit. "No need to get worried of construction from budget aspect. The State government takes responsibility for managing budget required for this".

Results of By-election held for 52 posts at 3 levels declared

The entire results of the November 30 by-election for the House of Representatives (HoR) member, State Assembly (SA) members and local representatives have been declared. The election was held for 52 posts at the three-levels and the results gave an inclusive colour.

13th SAG: Women’s Cricket team of Nepal wins by 10 wickets

Nepal has made a victorious start in the women cricket held today under the 13th South Asian Games. The inauguration match under the Games was played at the cricket ground in Pokhara Stadium.    

Siddhababa who faces rape charge arrested

Police have arrested Krishna Bahadur Giri aka Siddhababa who is charged of rape from the Birat Nursing Home today.     A police squad led by Sunsari's Deputy Superintendent of Police Binod Sharma arrested Giri known as the Siddhababa Krishnadas Maharaj.

Newly-elected State Assembly member Bimala Khatri (Oli) has committed to always work in favour of the people. She was elected to the State Assembly from Dang constituency number 3 (B).    

NC wins mayoral post at Dharan sub metropolis 

Nepali Congress candidate Tilak Rai has won the by-election held for the post of mayor at Dharan sub metropolis.     The NC candidate garnered 26,709 votes to beat his nearest competitor Prakash Rai of the Nepal Communist Party who finished the race with 23,914 votes. However, the official declaration of the poll results by the Election Commission is awaited.    

Achham once again reports Chhaupadi death 

A woman died in course of observing the Chhaupadi (a cultural practice which banishes menstruating and new mothers from home) in Achham, the district in Far West State last night.     The deceased has been identified as Parbati Rawat, 21, of Siddheshwori 21, Sanfebagar municipality-3, police said.
