Four children dead in Janakpur motorcycle accident

Zoo to be constructed in historic Manimukunda Park

Preparations have been made to build a regional level zoo in the area of Manimukunda Udhyan (Garden) of Butwal, a place of historical and archaeological importance which was conquered by the Nepal Army from the British. Butwal Sub-metropolitan City had built the park in memory of king Manimukunda Sen in 1996.

Chariot making process begins

The Guthi Sansthan of Kathmandu has begun the process to build Seto Machhindranath chariot at Tindhara Pathshala near Jamal. A four-wheel and 32-foot tall wooden chariot is pulled during the festival time. The chariot is built in the shape of a temple.

Gaddi Baithak to open for public from March 30

The historic Gaddi Baithak, a part of the Hanumandhoka Durbar Square, is reopening to the public from Wednesday after its restoration. The historically significant Palace, which was open for the general public for the first time on November 27, 2019, was closed after the lockdown.

Re-orientation not mandatory for returnee migrant workers

Migrant workers who once returned from foreign employment do not have to take orientation training when they want to go abroad again. Currently, there is an arrangement for anyone to take a new work permit and take an orientation.

Hazy weather to linger for a couple of days

The Kathmandu Valley and various other hilly areas of the country remained hazy on Monday with light rainfall in some places. According to Hira Bhattarai, a meteorologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, it has been raining sporadically in some parts of Kathmandu. He said that there is a possibility of rainfall in other hilly areas as well. The weather will clear from Thursday.
