Kathmandu, March 23 : The Federal Parliament's Parliamentary Committee has unanimously endorsed Mahendra Bahadur Pandey as the resident ambassador to the People's Republic of China and the non-resident ambassador to Democratic Republic of Korea and Magnolia.

A meeting of the committee held in Singha Durbar today accepted the Pandey's nomination unanimously, said committee president Laxman Lal Karna. Earlier, the committee had issued a 10-day notice seeking complaint (s), if there is any, against him, but no complaint was filed.

It may be noted that the Council of Ministers on March 1 had decided to call back the then Nepali Ambassador to China, Leelamani Poudyal, and send former foreign minister Pandey in his place.
