By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May. 5: Kathmandu Valley on Wednesday witnessed a record number of COVID-19 cases as the infection rate continues to surge.
The daily COVID-19 update of the Ministry of Health and Population reported that of the total 8,605 new infections confirmed across the nation on Wednesday, more than half 4,825 cases were reported in the Kathmandu Valley.
"Of the 4,825 new cases of COVID-19, 458 were detected in Bhaktapur, 518 in Lalitpur, and a whopping 3,849 in Kathmandu," informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam in the regular press briefing.
