By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Apr. 29: Banke has recorded eight COVID-19 related fatalities from last night till now.
According to the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre, Banke, the deaths were recorded in Bheri Hospital and Nepalgunj Medical College of the district from 9:00 pm on Wednesday night till 8:00 am this morning.
"A 58-year-old male of Nepalgunj-3, a 43-year-old female of Kohalpur-1, a 60-year-old male of Nepalgunj-4, a 32-year-old male of Badhayatal Rural Municipality and a 55-year-old male of Nepalgunj-5 succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection at Nepalgunj Medical College," said Tej Oli, COVID-19 focal person of the centre.
Similarly, a 42-year-old male of Nepalgunj-9, a 43-year-old male of Lamkichuha-1, Kailali, and a 67-year-old woman of Khajura-2 died while under treatment at Bheri Hospital.
According to focal person Oli, 106 people of Banke and 109 people from other districts have died of COVID-19 in Banke until now.
