Kaski, Mar. 28: The construction work has started in Madi Rural Municipality section of Pushpalal Mid-Hill Highway.
The work has been started in three different places of the Rural Municipality using excavators.
Project Chief Megh Raj Marsani informed that the work was progressing rapidly in various places under the highway.
There will be a total distance of 16 kilometres in the Madi Rural Municipality section under the Mid-Hill Highway.
He said that 80 per cent work of the total 245 kilometres of Kaski, Parbat and Baglung districts of the highway has been completed.
He said that work is being done from 12 different places in this section.
Brihaspati Sapkota, a member of the District Coordinating Committee, Kaski, said that the locals of Madi and surrounding areas were happy with the beginning of construction works of the highway.
The project is expected to play an important role in the future of the people of the Mid-Hill region.
