Nepali Congress Bagmati Province convention
By Ram Mani Dahal, Hetauda, Dec. 5: In the first convention of the Nepali Congress in Bagmati Province, which is being held in Hetauda, voting for the president is going to be held again.
The re-polling will take place after no one got more than 50 per cent of the votes due to the competition between the three candidates for the post of province president.
The NC constitution stipulates that more than 50 per cent of the votes cast for the post of the president must be obtained.
Indra Bahadur Baniya and Jagdish Nar Singh KC will compete for the post of president to get more votes.
According to the results released on Sunday, Baniya got 992 votes, KC got 872 votes and Bhimsen Das Pradhan got 197 votes. 10 votes have been invalidated.
Congress Province Election Committee Coordinator Keshav Prasad Kafle informed that the re-polling will start at 11:30 am.
