Kathmandu, Mar. 6: Nepal Bank Limited and Pokhara University have signed an agreement to facilitate student of the university with concessional banking service.
As per the agreement signed on Thursday, the bank will provide Visa debit card to the teaching and administrative staff and students on their salary account, and mobile banking/internet banking free of cost.
"NBL will provide high interest rate to the salary account of the Pokhara University staff and students, offer 25 per cent discounts in locker service and loan mobilisation. Likewise, demat account, C-ASBA and Mero Share registration services will be provided free of cost," the bank said in a statement.
Chief Executive Officer of the bank, Krishna Bahadur Adhikari, and Registrar of the university, Dr. Dipak Bahadur Bhandari, signed the agreement that also said that NBL will establish ATM machine and bank counter on the university premises.
NBL has 213 branches, 147 ATMs and 49 extension counters across the country. It is catering to 2 million customers.
