Live concert in Damauli to raise donation for Lions Cloth Bank

Tanahun, Dec. 21: A mega live concert is being organised in Tanahun on the occasion of the New Year, 2022 to raise donation for Lions Cloth Bank.
After the cloth bank went through scarcity of clothes, the Lions Club of Tanahun, Damauli decided to organise a concert on New Year's Eve on December 31.

Raju Rana, chairman of the Lions Club of Tanahun, said, "As the demand for warm clothes is high in winters, we are organising a concert to raise funds to procure warm clothes for the poor."
Organising a press meet on Sunday in Damauli, the club informed that the funds to buy clothes would be raised by selling tickets to the concert and by saving Rs. 300,000 of the total expenses for the concert.

Sonam Topden, The Freak Street Band, Rachana Rimal, Shova Tripathi, and other bands will be performing in the concert with a live DJ. The tickets are priced at Rs. 500, informed the club.
"It will cost around Rs. 1.5 million to organise the concert and by selling the tickets, we have aimed to save Rs. 300,000," said the organisers.
Saroj Bhandari, former chairman of the club, said that over 250 people associated with the Lions Club and Leo Club would be deployed as a crew to organise the concert.

Addressing the press meet, department chief of District 325 B-1 Raj Kumar Shrestha, former Chairman of Federation of Nepalese Journalists, Tanahun Omkar Acharya, Chairman of Lions Club, Tanahun Raju Rana, Lion Bishal Pandit, and Lion Krishna Gaire among others appealed to everyone to contribute in making the concert successful.

72-quintal clothes distributed from cloth bank
Meanwhile, the cloth bank operated by the Lions Club of Tanahun, Damaluli has distributed 72 quintals of clothes in the last four years.
Chairman Rana said that around 20 people were benefiting from the cloth bank every day.

The cloth bank was established with the slogan 'If you have, give and if you don't have, take'. The Lions Club has been requesting people time and again to donate the clothes that they no longer wear to the bank.
