By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 27: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Tuesday confirmed 252 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.
In 2,725 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done across the nation in the last 24 hours, as many as 252 persons, 97 females and 155 males, were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley, informed the MoHP in its update.
Of the 273 infections recorded by Bagmati State in the last 24 hours, 252 were found in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur districts.
Currently, there are 16,958 active cases of COVID-19 in Kathmandu. The capital city's COVID-19 tally stands at 57,200 including 40,042 cases of recoveries and 200 fatalities.
Likewise, Bhaktapur has recorded 5,393 infections until now of which, 4,141 patients have already recovered while 58 succumbed to the infection. There are 1,194 active cases in Bhaktapur.
Lalitpur district has recorded 8,052 cases of novel coronavirus infection until now including 5,562 recoveries and 56 deaths. Currently, there are 2,434 active cases in Lalitpur.
