Kathmandu Valley records 1,535 new cases of COVID-19

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 25: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Sunday confirmed 1,535 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley. 

In 12,311 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done across the nation in the last 24 hours, as many as 1,535 persons, 629 females and 906 males, were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley, informed the MoHP in its update.

Of the 1, 849 infections recorded by Bagmati State in the last 24 hours, 1,535 were found in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur districts.

Currently, there are 19,826 active cases of COVID-19 in Kathmandu. The capital city's COVID-19 tally stands at 56,302 including 36,283 cases of recoveries and 193 fatalities.

Likewise, Bhaktapur has recorded 5,313 infections until now of which, 3,763 patients have already recovered while 56 succumbed to the infection. There are 1,494 active cases in Bhaktapur.  

Lalitpur district has recorded 7,883 cases of novel coronavirus infection until now including 5,399 recoveries and 54 deaths. Currently, there are 2,430 active cases in Lalitpur.
