Kathmandu, Feb. 18: Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Masamichi Saigo called on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at the latter’s residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday.
Ambassador Saigo is returning home after completing his tenure of two year and nine months in Nepal.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister thanked the Japanese envoy for his invaluable contribution to strengthening the diplomatic relationship between the two countries.
He also congratulated Saigo for his successful tenure, supporting Nepal through various programmes, including the construction of the Nagdhunga tunnel.
The Prime Minister hoped that the two friendly countries would exchange the Head of State and Head of Government levels meetings in the days to come.
Likewise, Ambassador Saigo expressed his gratitude for the constant support and hospitality he received during his stay in Nepal.
