Kaski, Mar. 28: The construction work of 'Fishtail Dream Fun Park' in Sitapaila, Pokhara has reached the final stage.
The park is being constructed with international standard facilities and technology.
The construction company has stated that about 90 per cent of the construction work of the park has been completed so far.
Despite some delays in the construction of the fun park due to COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, work is in full swing, said Kadam KC, chairman of the company.
He said that work was underway to make the soft opening of the park soon.
KC said that a park is being constructed on 65 ropanis of land in Pokhara targeting domestic and foreign tourists.
Investors are confident that many tourists will be attracted after the park comes into operation.
Even though they had targeted to invest Rs. 400 million for the park, additional investment of Rs. 100 million will be added due to extended time of construction.
About 24 different types of sports structures are being prepared in the park.
Various activities including five swimming pools, wave pool, roller casters, 12 indoor games will be included in the park.
Facilities of well-equipped and attractive restaurant will also be available, the company said.
KC said that the facility is being prepared in such a way that the tourists can easily spend one or two days in the park.
"The park will also play a supportive role in extending the stay of tourists visiting Pokhara," KC said.
Fifteen entrepreneurs involved in various professions have jointly invested in the park. More than 200 people will get direct employment after the park comes into operation.
"Preparations are underway to include sports activities that have not started in Nepal yet in the park," KC said. "Our goal is to develop this park as a model project in Nepal."
