Madi, Dec. 19: Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) as well as the master plan for the construction of Ayodhyadham in Madi, which came into light after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli made a remark saying the place is the birthplace of Lord Shree Ram, have completed.
Decor Studio Private Limited has prepared them, informed Manoj Gupta, director of the company. "We, in coordination with the Office of Prime Minister, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and Madi Municipality, have prepared the DPR along with master-plan," said Gupta, adding “architect drawing and 3-D models for the types and sizes of temples to be constructed in Ayodhyadham have been completed under DPR, along with the maps of the temples.
The project is expected to cost Rs. 2.5-3 billion, according to the plan. Along with the grand temple dedicated to Lord Shree Ram, it mentions the construction of king Dasharath's (Lord Ram’s father) palace, Dharmashala (rest house for travellers), horse stable, gardens and modern bus park, a place for wedding rituals and Valmiki's Ashram (hermitage). Similarly, the construction of Laxman Batika (garden), Ashoka Batika, and Jatayu Park is underway.
In addition to that, the master plan also includes the construction of a Temple incorporating all four Dhams (abodes of lords) of Nepal -- Pashupati, Baraha, Muktinath, and Ridi. Works have begun to construct Ram, Sita, Laxman, Ganesh, and Bhagwati Temple in the first phase.
If the project goes ahead as planned, Ayodhyadham will be ready within the next two to three years. However, Prime Minister Oli has directed the concerned authority to complete the construction of Ram, Sita, and Laxman's temples by Ram Nawami of 2078 BS, said Thakur Dhakal, Mayor of the Madi Municipality. "The construction works will be taken forward in accordance with the direction of Prime Minister Oli," he added.
Madi Municipality has already handed over 100 bighas of land, which is equivalent to almost 17 football fields, for the construction of Ayodhyadham. "The office of PM and Council of Ministers would allocate the budget for the construction of Ayodhyadham on the recommendation of the municipality," Dhakal informed.
Meanwhile, the Municipality has already decided to provide an additional 50 bighas of land located in ward no. 8 for the construction.
PM Oli had instructed the concerned authority to initiate the construction of Ayodhyadham in the meeting held with the representatives of the area including mayor Dhakal on August 8.
