By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov, 19: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Thursday confirmed 2,103 new cases of COVID-19. The national COVID-19 tally has now reached 215,020.
"In 9,805 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 2,103 persons were found with the novel coronavirus infection," said the MoHP in its daily update.
Currently, there are 28,106 active cases of COVID-19 and 767 persons, mostly those who had returned from abroad, are placed in quarantine.
Meanwhile, some 2,858 patients who were either receiving treatment in various institutional isolations or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has recorded 185,638 COVID-19 recoveries until now.
Moreover, 17 patients succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours taking the nation's COVID-19 death toll to 1,276.
