By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept. 27: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) of the Nepali Army Purna Chandra Thapa has placed himself in quarantine since Saturday after learning that he was in close contact with a person infected with the novel coronavirus.
CoAS Thapa is in self-quarantinie after a person working in the kitchen of the CoAS's residence tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Nepali Army (NA).
NA Chief Thapa's swab would be collected for PCR testing after a couple of days as per the Health Ministry rule that swab test should be conducted after 5 days of quarantine or coming in contact with an infected person.
