Kathmandu, Feb 11 : Departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club beat the Brigade Boys Club in today's match under the ongoing 'A' division league to secure its topmost position in the point table. In the match held at the Satdobato-based ANFA Complex, the Brigade Boys faced 0-3 defeat at the hands of the Army.
In Army's victory, captain Bharat Khawas, and other players Bikash Tamang and Tek Bahadur Budhathoki each contributed a goal to the team.
In the fifth minute of the match, captain Khawas hit the goalpost, taking his team to a lead.
With this, Khawas has completed his 50 goals in the 'A' division league, the prestigious domestic football tournament. The second goal for the team came from Tamang in the 54th minute followed by the third goal in the 77th minute from Budhathoki.
So far, the Army has collected 29 points from 12 matches and Machhindra is the second position with 28 points and Brigade in the 12th position with eight points.
