By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Nov. 22: Minister for Sports and Youth Maheshwar Gahatraj 'Athak' has said that the present government would make arrangements for special provisions to develop and preserve sports infrastructure.
He said so while inspecting sports infrastructure being built in the premises of Nepalgunj Stadium including the stadium itself on Monday.
The minister said his ministry was preparing for a special policy and programme to protect sports infrastructure as there were a lot of complaints that many infrastructures were getting dilapidated due to lack of preservation.
Minister Gahatraj said he was in the ministry with an aim to make Nepal known as a country of players around the world and that, for the purpose, he was for holding as many sports competitions, build advanced sports infrastructure and a fair selection process as a priority.
