Kaski, Oct 10 : A handball coach from Portugal has arrived in Pokhara to train the national handball team for the 13th South Asian Games (SAG). The Games is taking pace in Nepal.
The national handball team is currently practising for the 13th SAG and Portugese handball instructor Juan Florencio has joined the team as the Chief Coach for the next three months, president of Nepal Handball Association, Tej Bahadur Gurung, said.
Florencio has come here at the invitation of the Association and with the facilitation of National Sports Council. He will start coaching the Nepali handball team from today.
The Nepali male and female national handball teams are currently under closed-door training at the Handball Academy at the Pokhara Sports Stadium in preparation for the 13th SAG is taking place in Nepal from December 1 to 10, 2019.
