By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb. 5: Oman has defeated Nepal by 18 runs in the first game of the 2020 Nepal Tri-Nation Series.
Winning the toss, Nepal had let Oman to bat first in the first One Day International (ODI) of the series at TU cricket ground, Kritipur, on Wednesday.
Nepal had to chase down Oman’s 197-9 score. But the Nepali cricket team couldn’t perform up to the mark as it lost its wicket during the starting of bating.
Nepal lost all of its wickets and scored 179 runs in the 46.5th over of the match.
Even though batsman Sharad Bheswakar had scored a half-century for Nepal, the team couldn’t win. Likewise, Dipendra Airee, Vice-captain of the team, scored 36 runs, Sandip Lamichhane scored 27 and Binod Bhandari scored 26 runs for Nepal.
