T20 World Cup Qualifier
Kathmandu, Feb. 19: After opening batsmen Kushal Bhurtel and Dipendra Singh Airy shined in the batting, Nepal has given a huge target of 219 runs to the Philippines to win the second match of the ICC T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers.
Batting first after losing the toss at Oman Cricket Academy Ground-2, Nepal scored 218 runs for the loss of three wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Kushal Bhurtel scored 104, Dipendra Singh Airee 83 and Kushal Malla 12 runs for Nepal. Kushal hit 13 fours and one six off 61 balls.
Airee hit 83 off 47 balls with six fours and four sixes. Opener Arif Sheikh was out for zero. In bowling, Daniel Smith, Miggy Podosky and Gurbhupinder Chohan of the Philippines took one wicket each.
