Kathmandu, July 25: South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) has formally proposed All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) to organise SAFF Championship.
Writing a letter, the Federation proposed ANFA to organise the 13th edition of SAFF Championship in this October.
SAFF General Secretary, Anwarul Huq, wrote a letter to ANFA General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar proposing to organise the event.
Earlier, Nepal had proposed the Federation for SAFF Championship. The SAFF Championship scheduled in Bangladesh could not take place due to the coronavirus pandemic. Nepal had expressed its interest to host the SAFF Championship after Bangladesh pulled out as the host due to increasing coronavirus infection.
Nepal hosted SAFF Championship in 1997 and 2013.
