Kathmandu, Nov 18: Nepal Equestrian Association has got international recognition. A special general assembly of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports held in Belgium decided to give international recognition to Nepal.
Chairperson of Nepal Equestrian Association, Rabi Rajkarnikar, said that the special general assembly held from November 14-17 gave recognition to Nepal.
Nepal had been struggling to get international recognition for the past six years. Chairperson Rajkarnikar expressed happiness over the Federation's decision to that end. Office-bearers of the Federation had visited Nepal last month regarding giving international recognition to Nepal.
They had inquired about the possibility of equestrian and development in Nepal. They had also met with Minister for Defense, Dr Minendra Rijal, Minister for Youth and Sports, Maheshwar Gahatraj, office-bearers of Nepal Olympic Committee, and National Sports Council during their stay in Nepal.
