Kathmandu, Nov 7: Nepal national football team suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Myanmar in their international friendly at Myanmar on Thursday.
Nepal went 2-0 down against host team in the first half and the home team sealed the match 3-0 in the second half.
The home team dominated the visitors from the kick off to final whistle as its unmarked striker Miyant Tun Ung opened account for the host in the third minute through heading.
David Hurten doubled the tally for Myanmar from the six yard box off rebound of Nepali goalie Bikesh Kuthu in the dying minutes of the first half.
Myanmar sealed the match in the 69th minute. Nepal had defeated Myanmar by 3-0 at AFC Challenge Cup 2008 held at India.
Nepal played an international friendly against Myanmar ahead of its first home match of the Asian Qualifiers Group B for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 against Kuwait.
