Kathmandu, Feb 10 : The Kathmandu police have arrested a man on charges of fleecing foreign job aspirants from Lokanthali in Bhaktapur district.
Bal Krishna Karki of Solukhumbu district has been accused of swindling foreign employment aspirants out of Rs 800,000 by promising them jobs in Qatar and Maldives, said Senior Superintendent of Police Sahakul Bahadur Thapa.
A team from the Metropolitan Crime Division (MCD) made this arrest acting on a complaint filed by the victims, he said. The arrestee has been handed to the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu for further investigations, said the MCD.
