Kathmandu, Feb 23: The 'Listikot-Dugunagadhi Mountain Trail Race' competition is going to be organised from Baseri of Bahrabise municipality-6 to Dugunagadhi of Bhotekoshi rural municipality-3 of Sindhupalchowk district.
The competition is to be organised on March 8 on the occasion of upcoming Army Day at the initiative of Gorakh Baks Battalion.
According to Nepal Army Public Relations and Information Directorate, the competition is going to be organised with an objective of highlighting religious and historic importance of Dugunagadhi and Listikot, developing them as touristic destination and expanding relation between army and citizen.
Accident insurance of Rs 1 million would be offered to each athlete for the day of the race competition. The distance between Listikot to Dugunahadhi is 21.21 kilometers.
The winner of the competition towards open category would get Rs 100,000 and a certificate while the athletes securing second, third and fourth positions in the competition would get Rs 60,000, Rs 40,000 and Rs 20,000 and certificate respectively.
Likewise, those securing first, second and third position towards women category would get Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively.
