Kathmandu, Aug.13 : Price of gold, which has been declining continuously for the last few days, has increased on Thursday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of gold increased to Rs. 89,400 per tola (11.664 grams) today from Rs. 88,800 on Wednesday.
The price has increased in the local market due to increase in its price in the international market, said Tej Ratna Shakya, a gold trader.
Gold price in the international market has increased by US$ 16 per ounce to US$ 1,751 today, he said. That figure was US$ 1,735 on Wednesday.
Prices of gold and silver in the international market have been steadily declining over the past few days, as a result of which the prices were in decline in local markets until Wednesday.
Gold price has dropped by Rs. 3,800 per tola in last two weeks.
