By A Staff Reporter , Kathmandu, Apr. 21 : The Forbes Magazine on Tuesday has listed Nepal’s swimmer Gaurika Singh at the Asia Impressive 30 Youth.
Olympian Singh was listed in the Entertainment and Sports’ under 30 years’ category.
The golden girl was the youngest athlete of the Rio Olympics. She was 13 years and 255 days during the 2016 Rio Olympics.
She is also the highest gold medal winners for Nepal at the South Asian Games (SAG). She won four gold medals in the regional mega sports event held in Nepal in 2019.
Singh has been swimming since she was 9 years old and has been competing for Nepal since the age of 12. At the 2019 SAG, she won four gold, two silvers, and three bronzes.
Singh is also selected for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which have been postponed to July-August 2021.
Aside from swimming, Singh is also involved in charity work and is a goodwill ambassador for nonprofit organizations including Maiti Nepal and Shanti Education Initiative.
