By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Apr. 19: A 75-year-old male succumbed to COVID-19 while residing in home isolation in Banke on Sunday night.
According to the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee, Banke, the elderly from Kohalpur Municipality-14, who had tested positive for the virus on Sunday itself was placed in home isolation upon the request of his families.
Tej Oli, focal person of the committee, said, “The elderly were suffering from chronic diseases and had returned from India on Saturday after treatment. As his health condition continued to deteriorate, his COVID-19 test was conducted at Nepalgunj Medical College on Sunday.”
With this, the COVID-19 tally of Banke District has reached 61.
