Kathmandu, Sept 6: The Bangladesh women's football team has arrived in Nepal to play friendly matches.
The friendly matches scheduled to take place at Tripureshwor-based Dasharath Stadium on September 9 and 12 are part of preparations for the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualifications to be organised in Uzbekistan from mid-September this year.
Shikshit Parajuli, Vice President of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), the governing body of football in Nepal and office bearers of the ANFA women committee welcomed the Bangladeshi team at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
Nepal is placed into Group 'F' alongside the Philippines and Hong Kong. Nepal will play its opening match with the Philippines on September 18.
Likewise, it will take on Hong Kong on September 21 in its second match. The winning team in the group will play the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2022 to be held in India.
