Jhapa, March 2: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today inaugurated a cancer hospital in Birtamod of Jhapa.
The Purbanchal Cancer Hospital based in Birtamod Municipality-5 which has been in operation for around a year was formally inaugurated today. Local investor Durga Prasai invested Rs 6 billion to build the 300-bed hospital.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister unveiled a stone inscription on the hospital premises and visited the hospital wards. It is said the hospital provided its services to around 2,700 patients since its operation and among them 1,300 are from Jhapa itself.
