By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 10: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader of India Harsh Vardhan said that Nepal and India share similarities in culture and Hindutva.
Addressing the inauguration of the 14th general convention of the Nepali Congress, he said that India and Nepal share a similar culture, Hindutva, and social cohesiveness.
On the occasion, he also expressed wishes for the successful completion of the general convention of the Nepali Congress on behalf of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Jagat Prasad Nadda.
He also observed that India has always come forward when Nepal faced any difficulties including the 2015 earthquake and the present COVIC-19 Pandemic. He vowed commitment to further consolidation and harmony in the relation between India and Nepal.
He expressed happiness over seeing many former prime ministers of Nepal sitting in the same podium of the general convention ceremony despite differences in ideology. It is such an unprecedented moment when leaders of different parties can be seen sitting together.
India leaders including Vijay Chauthaiwale were also present in the general convention.
