Kathmandu, July 23 : A meeting of the existing and former office-bearers of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has started some time ago at Party President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba's residence in Budhanilkantha.
NC's central office's chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel said that the meeting is expected to discuss the job of the party's active membership probe committee and the 14th national general convention.
The NC has decided to organise its 14th national general convention from July 31 to August 3 in Kathmandu.
Likewise, the party has scheduled to conduct the election of its local level from July 27 but it is said that the date for such elections is likely to be rescheduled as there are some issues including the disputes about the party's active membership distribution.
