Kathmandu, Jan 4: The ruling partner CPN (Maoist Centre) has finalised its candidates for the upcoming National Assembly election on January 26.
The CPN (Maoist Centre) has nominated Urmila Aryal from women from Province 2, Bhuvan Sunar from Gandaki in Dalit quota, Jagat Parki from Far Western Dalit, Nar Bahadur Bista from Karnali minority and Suresh Ale Magar from others.
Chairman of the Election Commission Bishnu Pukar Shrestha has informed The TRN Online that the Maoist centre has finalised these candidates.
The five-party ruling coalition, including the Maoist centre, is set to challenge the main opposition party, the CPN-UML, in the upcoming National Assembly elections.
The meeting of the ruling coalition had allotted five out of 19 seats for the CPN MC in the National Assembly.
Accordingly, the CPN MC has finalised the candidates for the National Assembly election. A central member of the party Lilamani Pokharel also said that the candidacy for the National Assembly election should be finalised soon as the nomination has to be registered with the Election Commission by Tuesday.
