By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept. 2: Sorha Shraddha, also known as Pitri Paksha, has begun from today. The Pitri Paksha will end on September 16 this year.
Due to the COVID-19 scare and the ongoing prohibitory order in the valley, only a few people were seen performing the Shraddha rites, a Hindu religious rite to pay tribute to the ancestors, in the Pashupatinath Area here in Kathmandu.
The government has urged everyone to perform Shraddha rites within their homes by following all the safety measures.
