By Bishnulal Budha, Dolpa, Feb. 5: Snowfall has begun in the upper region of Dolpa district, thereby affecting the normal lives.
Although the cold wave along with the snowfall has hit the district, the farmers have become happy as the long-awaited snowfall finally lashed.
Various areas of the district including Dho, Saldang, Charka, Phoksundo, Pahada, Liku, Hum, Rimi, Kaigaun, Majhphal, Kaike, Raha, Sarmi, Horta, Okta, Tinje, Bhijera, Thala, and Tipla observed snowfall.
"We have been facing difficulties due to the snowfall. The forages for livestock have been piled up in the sheds. Due to the alarming cold, we are not being able to even fetch the water from taps," said Ganeshman Pun of Tripurasundari Municipality-11.
Pun added that a feet thick layer of snow had been piled up in his village.
Meanwhile, the farmers have been happy due to the snowfall. The locals informed that all of them had been staying inside as the temperature was decreasing. "But we are happy as the pollution will decrease now," said the locals.
