By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jun. 14: With the arrival of the monsoon farmers of the peri-urban areas of Kathmandu Valley have started paddy plantation. Amid a lack of workers due to the prohibitory order, farmers have begun paddy plantation themselves this year.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has begun the preparation to celebrate National Paddy Day on June 29 (15th of Ashadh). It has been said that due to the prohibitory order National Paddy Day will be celebrated by maintaining the physical distance.
National Paddy Day is an annual festival in Nepal which marks the beginning of the rice planting season. It is celebrated on the 15th of Ashadh every year.
