By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 4: Shops in the main business streets of Kathmandu such as Maha Baudhdha, New Road and Asan have been kept open today despite the nationwide lockdown.
The shops were opened from early Thursday morning.
With the mobility of the people and opening of the shops, theses streets seem to have come back to life after over 70 days of the shutdown.
Number of vehicles plying in the street has also gone up.
Porters with load on their backs are seen in numbers in New Road and Maha Baudhdha, known for wholesale market of garments and electric items.
Most shops have kept sanitizer for the customers while some even have thermal gun to check the clients before they enter the shops.
