By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 27: Hearing on Mohammad Aftab Alam's case has been postponed.
The hearing was scheduled to take place today in a joint bench of Justices Prakashman Singh Raut and Prakash Kumar Dhungana.
Baburam Dahal, spokesperson at the SC, said that the hearing was postponed as demanded by Alam's law practitioner.
Alam has been accused of claiming dozens of lives in a bomb blast in Rajpur, Rautahat on April 9, 2008.
Earlier on May 29, 2012, the SC had ordered the government to conduct a proper investigation of the case and take action accordingly. Alam was elected as a lawmaker from Rautahat Constituency-2 during the first Constituent Assembly elections in 2008.
