By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sep. 19: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the government is committed to protect and implement the Constitution.
Addressing a programme organised in Tundikhel, Kathmandu on the occasion of the seventh Constitution and National Day on Sunday, PM Deuba said that the Constitution had institutionalised the federal democratic-republican system of government, which was achieved through armed conflict and various revolutions including the Madhesh revolution.
"We must achieve the sustainable development goals and good governance with the successful implementation of the Constitution," said PM Deuba, adding that his government was committed to enacting laws and rules required for the implementation of the national charter.
He added that amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the government was working to protecting people's lives from the COVID-19 pandemic and reviving the nation's economy.
