Kathmandu, Jan 5: Chaku, a dish made from concentrated sugarcane juice, jaggery, ghee, and nuts, is being prepared these days targeting the upcoming Maghe Sankranti on January 15.
Kashi Lal Chaku Production of Tokha, Kathmandu, has been producing Chaku for a long time. The Chaku produced by Kashi Lal Production, which has been producing Chaku for over a hundred years, reach different parts of the country, including the Kathmandu valley.
Buddha Shrestha, the proprietor of Kashi Lal Chaku Production, informed that he has been active in Chaku making from the grandfather to the grandson generation.
