By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 29: Barahakshetra is considered to be one of the most important pilgrimage sites of eastern Nepal. It is one of the four famous regions, Harirarkshetra, Kurukshetra, Muktikshetra, and Barahakshetra, which are written in the Hindu scriptures.
Although the area holds a lot of tourism prospects as it can attract Nepali and Indian tourists with its religious significance, the tourism infrastructures aren’t much developed in the Barahakshetra.
The Barahakshetra can be reached by crossing the Saptakoshi Bridge from Thoksila of Rampur in Udayapur, which falls under the government's Mid-Hill Highway Project.
Here are some photos captured by photojournalist Sagar Basnet of the Barahakshetra, which could potentially be a tourist attraction for Hindus.
