With lives returning back to a normal pace, gradually concerts have started to catch up around musical urbanite junctures and special occasions like Valentines’ definitely requires for better and grander celebrations. And tonight, the Elements, a pop trio very prominent in the current Nepali music scene are performing on Booze Belly, Jhamsikhel with a no entrance fee. Consisting of Ishan R. Onta on vocals and guitars, Dipesh Gurung on drums and Raunaq Singh Adhikari on guitars this group has continuously been producing non-stop hits one after the other. Their debut single Tesaile Hidey Ma was a sensation which was actually aired from the Arbitrary Original sessions, though they’ve not released an album yet, nonetheless, their television show appearances, lyrical video release, singles and bootlegs gather enough material for a full-length album without doubt.
Rohit John Chettri is another similar grandiose musical persona who needs no introduction to people interested in Nepali music, the pop sensation got his first break from his debut single Bistarai Bistarai and there has been no turning back for him ever since. From being the front person for the legendary act 1974 AD (new lineup) to touring around many nations of the world, collaborating with a lot of big names of the industry and much more. With over 6 million views on his debut release and nearly 90k subscribers on his channel, Chettri has come a long way experimenting on various styles of music, working with promising arrangers/ producers and hiring some top-notch musicians from the industry as his backing band. His devotional following have kept supporting his quench to keep growing and expanding his musical repertoire, which luckily aids more to the Nepali music fraternity. And this vibrant singer/ songwriter will be taking the center-stage tonight at Chakhewa Lounge and Bar, Lazimpat featuring DJ Rucane Sresta.
Sabin Rai is another big personality of the Nepali Music industry who has for over one and a half decade blessed his fans with his charismatic musical style and soothing vocal textures. Born and raised in Dharan, Rai started his solo musical journey with his debut album Nine in 2001. 5 great albums later, Rai initiated his collaboration with his current band The Pharaoh and released their 2019’s epic album ‘Dhanyabad’. The Pharaoh are tremendously appreciated by their musical peers for changing the entire group dynamics of the outfit and approaching towards a different sound-sphere experimenting more whilst flawlessly balancing the soothing mellow element Rai has always been noted for. The Pharaoh consists of Binod Lama Tamang on drums, Nikesh KC on guitars, John Shrestha on guitars, Jeevan Lama on Bass and Steven Tamang as the sound engineer.
