Kathmandu, Apr. 6: The Metropolitan Crime Division arrested three individuals with bear bile and deer musk from Ward No. 1 of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality of Bhaktapur district on Monday.
A special team from the division had reached Nayabasti area of the municipality after the division received information regarding the illegal trade of wildlife parts.
Making the confiscation and arrests public at a press statement on Tuesday, the division informed that they seized five bear bile and five deer musk from the trio.
The arrested individuals have been identified as 47-year-old Chhatra Bahadur Bega, a local; 18-year-old Gopal Budha Chhetri of Jumla district; and 46-year-old Lokendra Bega of Panchthar district.
Gopal has been living at Koteshwor and Lokendra at Jorpati.
According to the division, the source of the animal parts was not identified during the arrest.
The division has sent the trio to Bhaktapur district Forest Division Office for further investigation and legal process.
