Banke, May 19: An additional 17 people undergoing treatment for coronavirus infection in various hospitals in Banke district have died overnight yesterday. This number of Covid-19 patients succumbed to the infection at the Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj and the Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur since last night till the morning today.
Among the victims, eight are from Banke district while nine are from outside districts, said Tej Oli, the resource person at the District Covid Crisis Management Centre.
According to him, with the latest deaths, 254 people from Banke district and 210 from outside districts who had come here for treatment have succumbed to the deadly virus infection.
